From ttaka@isc.chubu.ac.jp Tue Nov 20 14:51 JST 2001 Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2001 14:50:26 +0900 (JST) From: takahashi_tomoichi To: r-resc@ISI.EDU Subject: Rescue Simulation League Rules for 2002 [after proposal] **************************************************** *** Rules for RoboCup2002 Rescue Simulation League *** how your proposals will become 2002's program **************************************************** Hi: I asked Rescue ML members to submit proposals by the end of November. The followings are Committee's agreement of how to set the proposals in Rescue Simulation Leagues 2002's program. +++++++++++ 2001/11/30: dead line of proposal to rules, simulators and so an. * this dead line was announced On Oct.13. * at present, we have one comment on maps. 2001/12/16: submission of test environments: (When you cannot submit test environments by 12/16, please announce when you can prepare them at 11/30. Committee will discuss it.) Test environments are made accessible for others. They are used for others to check the proposals. For example, if the proposal is a simulator, then the simulation program, if the proposal is an agent (such as civilian agent), then the agent program, if the proposal is a map, then its GIS data. All members can test and comment the proposals. ( Please do NOT nip in the bud. :) ) At this time, they may have bugs but your comment will improve the proposal. They will be improved during this period by the end of February at the latest. The proposal will be accepted through two stages: Stage 1 (2002/1/21 - 1/31): voting by participants. Participants mean team leaders and simulator developers. Teams are the teams that participated in RoboCup 2001. Simulator developers are ones who developed simulators used in RoboCup 2001. Team leaders have 2 points and simulator developers have 1 point for each item. Stage 2 (2002/2/1-2/20): discussion by committee members and decision. Committed members (OC and TC) will discuss the proposals with respect of voting results, and decide whether the proposal will be accepted or not. And also all related matters including rules will be determined in this period. 2002/ 2/28: announcement of RoboCup 2002 Rules and Software environments. 2002 June : RoboCup 2002 +++++++++++ --------------------------------------------------- Tomoichi TAKAHASHI, Dr. Eng.
