Minutes of meeting before RoboCup-Rescue Simulation Semi-Final Games Rescue League Committee 5.Aug.2001 Final games; (Aug.9 - Final games are done in tournament form. At preliminary games, all 7 teams compete and top 4 games are finalists. Final games are done in tournament style. (1) Semifinal games are matches between (top_1, top_4) and (top_2, top_3). final | +--------------+--------------+ | | +----+----+ +----+----+ | | | | semifinal A: | | semifinal B: | | top_2 top_3 top_1 top_4 | | +--------------+--------------+ | 3rd place (2) Each semifinal game will do rescue operation at three different maps, {top_5_2, top_6_2, top7_2}. They get winning points for each map. Winner gets 1 point, and loser gets none. The total winning points of the three maps determines winners. Session chair for semifinal A is top_5. Session chair for semifinal B is top_6. *added: A gap map that determines seismic power and random seeds of simulators are set differently set at preliminarily games and final games. *modified: (3) The final and the 3rd place final games also use three maps. The final game uses the maps of the loser of both semifinals and the map that Rescue committee prepares. The 3rd place final game use the maps of the winners of semifinals and the map that Rescue committee prepares. The gap map that determines seismic power and the random seeds of simulators are also set differently at preliminarly games. Session chair for final is the loser of semifinal A. Session chair for 3rd place is the winner of semifinal B. *modified: (4)Valid games: The definition of valid games is the same as one in preliminary games. Points: When one team does not do a valid game, it gets 0 point and the other team gets one point. When both teams do not valid games, they get 0 point. Winner/Loser: First, the total points of three games determines winner. Secondly, when they get the same points like score/point | team-A | team-B ---------------+----------+---------- game-1 (score) | 10 | 5 (point) | 1 | 0 ---------------+----------+---------- game-2 (score) | 20 | 40 (point) | 0 | 1 ---------------+----------+---------- game-3 (score) | 15 | 15 (point) | 0.5 | 0.5 ---------------+----------+---------- total points | 1.5 | 1.5 then the total of relative points determines winner. def. relative point of team-i = score of team-i / total of score of both team. Thirdly, when they get the same relative point like score/point | team-A | team-B ---------------+----------+---------- game-1 (score) | 10 | 5 (r-point) | 10/15 | 5/15 ---------------+----------+---------- game-2 (score) | 20 | 40 (r-point) | 20/60 | 40/60 ---------------+----------+---------- game-3 (score) | 15 | 15 (r-point) | 15/30 | 15/30 ---------------+----------+---------- total r-point | 1.5 | 1.5 then the total score of three games determines winner. In the above case, team-A gets 10+20+15=45 and team-B gets 5+40+15=60. So team-B wins. *modified: (5)Time schedule: Aug.9 9:00 semifinal A: 12:00 semifinal B: 14:00 3rd: (all three games) 16:00 final: (only one game using the map of committee) Aug.10 final (2nd and [3rd game if necessary].) (coin toss determines which map is used first.)
